With over 30 years of experience, he has also developed his activity in the area of tax and customs litigation and consultancy within the Free Trade Zone of Madeira.

Member of the Portuguese Bar Association.

He is a member of the Portuguese Tax Association, the International Fiscal Association, the Portuguese Association of Tax Consultants, the International Bar Association, and the American Bar Association. He is the Portuguese representative of the Foreign Lawyers Forum of the American Bar Association. He is a member of the European Tax Law Group, Tax Associates Meeting and of the Europe VAT Group, the members of which are renowned European Law firms, leaders in their respective jurisdictions.

He is a former member of the jury of the Portuguese Bar Association that grants lawyers the status of tax law specialists. Former Lecturer of International Taxation at Overgest/ Instituto Superior de Ciências do Trabalho e da Empresa.
